Planning – Blog posts. I have a goal to be more consistent in my posting. I’m trying to come up with a schedule so I have things planned out ahead of time. Part of this is coming up with some more ongoing weekly type posts. I try to do this one every Tuesday and I often do a “Friday Favorites”(although not often enough) and I’m thinking about adding “Meal Plan Monday” to the mix. I need to get better at meal planning for my own family and if I share my meal plans here then my hope is that it would make me more accountable in planning and would hopefully help give others meal planning ideas as well. Is a weekly meal plan post something that you would be interested in seeing? Are there any other weekly posts that you would like to see here?

Watching – Game of Thrones. Last night my husband and I watched the season finale. We can’t watch on Sunday nights so we catch it the next day. I’ll tell you, it’s not easy avoiding spoilers.(don’t worry, I won’t spoil here but just say that it was GOOD) On Mondays we’re a little afraid to turn on the radio or look at our social media  for fear of accidentally seeing or hearing a spoiler. It’s kind of funny though when Jarrod has his radio on in the other room and I hear him screaming “stop talking! Lalalalala!” as we are frantically trying to turn the radio down or off while they are discussing the show. I’ve always thought there was an unwritten 24 hour rule for spoiling a show but no one seems to follow it anymore. Haha. Do you watch GOT? What did you think of the finale(without spoiling for others.) Ever read the books. From what I understand the show has split off from the books after the first few seasons but I think I may try to read them next time I’m in the mood for a series so I can compare.

Chasing – toddlers. My youngest daughter is 15 months old and just started walking about 2 weeks ago. Being new at this whole walking thing has not slowed her down a bit.  My other daughter is 7 now so it has been easy to forget how quickly they can move and get into things. While I do run a small home daycare, I mostly had older kids recently who have started school this month so it has been a while since I’ve had toddlers to chase around. I do have a 2 year old boy a couple of days a week that just recently started coming regularly and the 2 of them like to gang up on me and run in opposite directions but I love every minute of it. I’m used to being surrounded by kiddos and have put out a few ads to find new children to care for. I’ve had a lot of responses this week so I imagine my spots will be filled pretty soon. I can’t wait to have a full roster again. It’s so nice having littles around and now that Jarrod is working at home I still get plenty of adult conversation during the day and a bit of help with the kids as well.

These 2 cuties melt my heart.

What are you “currently” up to this week? Let me know in the comments below

  1. Emily

I am right there with you in planning blog posts. With my kids heading back to school next week I hope to get more organized with my blog schedule. Meal planning would be another area I need to work on!

  2. Heather

It’s been a busy week, but I’m really excited about all of the things on my to-do list so I don’t mind that it seems never-ending. Congrats to your new walker! She is adorable!

  3. Louise

It’s sounds like you’ve been really busy, Carrie! I’ve planned lots of new blog posts, but I’m really rubbish at actually getting round to writing them. Oops.

I’m working on sticking to my blogging schedule too now that the kids are back in school.

I feel like I’m the last person on Earth who hasn’t started watching Game of Thrones! I need to check it out. Maybe by the time I catch up, the next season will be ready to start!
