This is what I am up to “currently”

Watching Gilmore Girls – A week or so ago I went onto social media asking for Netflix recommendations. I had a lot of good leads that I added to my watch list but one person suggested Gilmore Girls. I watched the first season back when it was new but then moved around a bit, didn’t have cable, and never went back to watch it anymore. I remember liking what I saw so decided to give it another try. I started from the beginning because it had been so long ago and I’m only a few episodes in but I am really enjoying it. Most of what I had been watching lately was pretty dramatic and somewhat dark so I knew I wanted something a little more light-hearted. If you haven’t seen the series before it’s worth checking out. Or also watching again if you had in the past.

Harvesting fruits and veggies – Right now I’m getting a lot of peaches off of our tree. I also have blackberries and rhubarb ready to go. Last week we pulled a ton of garlic. We have bigger gardens at my in-laws house where we are now getting potatoes, squash, and broccoli. So that being said, we have a lot of fresh produce to use right now and I’m loving it. I’ve posted a couple of peach recipes recently and there will be more to come as things continue to come into season. I’m excited to share them with you. Stay tuned for more yumminess and be sure to check out my recipe for Bourbon Peach Blackberry Cobbler and Peach Cobbler Cake in the meantime.

Getting ready for school to start – I posted a couple of weeks ago about finding a backpack for my 2nd grader but this weekend we went out to get her some new clothes for school. I had some gift cards for Old Navy so we grabbed a few things there and then we headed out to our local Outlet Mall for the rest. We stopped at Gymboree where she found a couple of cute dresses, an adorable pair of leggings and some shirts. After that we went over to Children’s Place where they have all basic denim only $7.99! That is an awesome deal so we definitely took advantage. They also have some super cute long sleeved tees right now as well so we grabbed a couple of those. All-in-all it was a productive shopping weekend so all we have left now is shoes and supplies.

I need to start watching The Gilmore Girls on Netflix too as everyone I know always raves about how good it is. I’m a bit worried about not really understanding it though as I never saw the original shows!

The original shows are on Netflix. That’s actually what I’m watching now. And then I’ll catch the revival afterwards.

I’ve actually never seen that show before. But I do have Netflix. Should I watch the original before the revival?

I love reading the Currently posts. I can’t believe I still haven’t watched any of Gilmore Girls. My daughter LOVED the series, and I think I may have to binge watch the whole thing!

Love that you are harvesting fruits and veggies and am extremely envious of your peach tree! I too need to get in on a good show. I keep hearing about Gilmore Girls and have to check it out!

I loved Gilmore Girls when it was on! I like the idea of watching older seasons of shoes from the beginning, like a good book there is things you forgot happened and you can discover it all over again!

It’s almost peach season here, so I’ll be watching for those recipes. They both sound great!

I am currently on the hunt for some good peaches and apples. No one seems to ship them nor do they grow near by where I live.
