I was just looking back and realized I haven’t done one of these posts in OVER 2 YEARS! Yes, I took a year off from blogging but what about the other year? These were always popular posts so I honestly have no idea why I stopped doing them. But considering I haven’t written about what I find on Pinterest in so long but I have pinned MANY MANY things since then, I should have enough material to last a while. Haha. Anyway, here is a list of just a few things I have pinned recently that you might find interesting:
1) Sesame Street guessing party game
This past weekend we had a Sesame Street themed birthday for our 1-year old. We didn’t use this exact game but this pin inspired a similar version that we did. Instead of a big jar with blocks I did a smaller(pint sized jar) and filled it with M&Ms. We had our party guests fill out a slip and put it in a container. You can download the slips that we used Here At the end of the party, whoever was the closest to getting the right answer got to take the jar of M&Ms home with them. It was fun seeing the wide range of guesses that people had. Even the winner was off by around 100 so it wasn’t easy but still fun.
2) Slow-carb Food list
If you saw my post from last night then you already know that hubby and I just started a 4-week meal plan for better health. It’s the plan from the book “4-hour body” by Timothy Ferriss. Also known as “slow-carb.” The basics are to avoid grains, fruits and “white carbs”(such as flour, potatoes, sugar, etc), and don’t drink your calories(soda, coffee w/sugar or syrups, etc) but it also allows for 1 “cheat day” per week. The pin above has a fairly exhaustive food list of what is “allowed” on the diet and seems to be a great reference when planning meals.
3) Babyfood Popsicles for teething tots
How perfect would these be for this summer? I have a 1-year-old who is cutting molars right now and the poor girl has been miserable. They would also be nice just for cooling down on a hot day. I haven’t tried any of these yet but I can’t wait!
4) Patriotic Parade Stick
In my town we have a huge parade around the Fourth of July every year. I’m super excited to make a few of these with my kiddos. If we are motivated enough I think it could be fun to make some extras and pass them around to other littles at the parade.
I would love to see some of the awesome things you all are pinning lately. Feel free to link to your favorite “pinnable post” or pinterest board in the comments.
